Credit Data

If necessary to pursue your case, our partners will disclose personal data to Checkboard Ltd for the provision of credit report information which may include Equifax. Where you provide your consent, our Partners Consultation Claims may conduct a soft credit search to verify your eligibility for certain products or services. These checks are carried out on our behalf by their service provider, Checkboard Limited. In order to perform this assessment, Checkboard Limited will obtain an Electronic Credit Report from credit reference agencies, including Equifax and CRAIN. The information contained in that report will be shared with us for eligibility assessment purposes.

We will also disclose personal data to our partner Valid8 IP Ltd for the provision of a soft credit search to locate your car finance agreements and identity information, which may include data from Equifax Ltd, Experian Ltd and TransUnion. This search will have no impact on your credit score.

A soft credit search leaves a soft footprint on your credit file. This footprint:

  • Is visible to you
  • Is not visible to other lenders
  • Does not affect your credit score
